Welcome to Wills Point ISD, where traditions are rich and innovative ideas are at the forefront. Wills Point ISD proudly celebrates the many traditions established throughout the years. We are always searching for new and innovative ideas that will positively impact our students. Student engagement and student-led instruction are the primary focus of this district.
At Wills Point ISD, genuine relationships and connections are fundamental to learning. In Wills Point ISD, learning is not confined to the classroom. We believe in inspiring life-long learners. Our students will flourish as productive citizens by exemplifying character, service, and leadership qualities to empower themselves and impact the community. The Wills Point ISD learning experience allows students to discover, evaluate, and reflect through collaboration and effective purposeful communication.
Wills Point ISD serves one of the largest footprints in Kaufman and Van Zant Counties, at over 217 square miles. Wills Point was a small rural district housed on one campus building for almost 50 years until the first elementary school was built in 1956. Today, Wills Point ISD has grown to over 2,900 students spread over five campuses.
Wills Point ISD is expected to grow by more than 100 students in the next two years (2024 to 2026) and is projected to grow by more than 1000 students in enrollment by 2035. The community has not passed a bond package since 1996 to support the growth and has no I&S tax debt.
The Wills Point ISD learning experience is a team effort. We value the importance of working together with parents, local businesses, and the community. We are more than a district, more than a community; WE ARE WILLS POINT PROUD!
