As a reminder, WPISD is using Skyward, a new and more user-friendly student information system. This change will affect how parents access registration, grades, schedules, and other information.

Regardless of the process, all students must have current documentation entered or updated.

Must provide proof of residency document.Proof
- Provide proof of residency. (TEA's school district Locator FAQ)
- This should be a recent utility bill (May 2026 – current) or a paid statement that you are renting or leasing your home. We understand that utilities may be included in your agreement.
- We cannot accept bills for trash pickup, cell phone services, homeowners' insurance, car insurance, or voter registration cards.
- These documents must include the student's physical address and the name of the legal guardian. (Board Policy)
- If you cannot provide proof of residency due to living arrangement hardship, you will need to visit your assigned campus for the required documentation to support residency.

In addition, you will also need to provide the following:

Child's Birth Certificate Proof of identity

The person enrolling a student must be a legal guardian (as per official court documentation); a copy of your current ID is required. (Driver's License, passport, state ID, etc.)

Any enrollment records, special program information, transcripts, and report cards from previous districts or /campuses help determine placement and schedules.

Social Security Number (if available), or any state-supplied ID number from a previous district/campus.
Notice:
· We will need updated documentation on Proof of Residency. WPISD is required to report the district boundaries in which you reside for state PEIMS verification.
· Transportation is not provided for transfer students; parents are responsible for transporting students to school and school events.
Transfer requests must be submitted by May 15, 2026, with no exceptions.
