Jason Groom, President- Place 2
Jason Groom was elected to the board in May of 2018. Jason is a 1995 graduate of Wills Point High School; a life-long resident, Jason attended all his school years in Wills Point. Mr. Groom serves as the Police Chief for Edgewood ISD. Mr. Groom is in his first term as a WPISD Board Trustee.

Debbie Deen, Vice President - Place 1
Debbie Deen was appointed to the school board in June 2022. Deen is a retired educator of 32 years, serving 23 years in Wills Point ISD, retiring in 2016 as the Principal of Wills Point Primary School. Deen is the past President of the Wills Point Education Foundation, where she remains an active member in serving her community. Mrs. Deen is in her first term as a WPISD Board of Member Trustee.

Russell Hiler- Secretary, Place 6
Russell Hiler was elected to the school board in 2016. Hiler is a 1986 graduate of Wills Point High School and Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Hiller is an independent sales representative who sells to sporting goods stores and organizations that focus on apparel and equipment at the high school and junior high levels. Hiler is now serving his third term as Secretary of the Board of Trustees.

Dr. Ben Curtis- Place 4
Dr. Ben Curtis was elected to the school board in May 2025. Dr. Curtis is a 2006 graduate of Wills Point High School. Curtis owns his own dental practice, Curtis Kids Dentistry, serving the kids and families of Van Zandt County. Dr. Curtis and his wife Rachel have a long-standing family lineage in Wills Point and are excited to raise their four children in the same great school district that raised them.

Mallory Malouf, Trustee- Place 3
Mallory Malouf was appointed to the school board in June 2025. Mrs. Malouf is a 2007 graduate of Wills Point High School. She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the board with her educational background. Mrs. Malouf resides in Wills Point with her husband, Bryan, and their three children, who attend WPISD.

Jesse D Everett, Trustee- Place 5
Jesse Dean Everett was elected to the school board in May 2022. Mr. Everett a 2003 graduate of Wills Point High School. Everett owns his own construction company, Everett Unlimited, providing services for excavation and land clearing. Everette resides in Wills Point with his wife Brittany and thier two children who attend WPISD.

Jim Lamb, Trustee- Place 7
Jim Lamb was elected to the school board in 2017. Lamb graduated from Purcell High School in 1970 and Oklahoma State University in 1975. Lamb moved to Wills Point in 1989 to coach and teach. In January of 1992, he became Head Coach and Athletic Director at WPHS. In August of 1995, Lamb became Assistant Principal of Wills Point High School and served in that position until July 2004. Jim Lamb was then named Principal of Wills Point High School and continued in that role for twelve years until his retirement in June of 2016. Mr. Lamb is in his third term as a WPISD Board of Trustee Member.

The Board of Trustees meets regularly on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the WPISD Administration Building at 338 West North Commerce St. Wills Point, TX. 75169
NOTE: During the months of June and July, the Board of Trustees will meet at 5:00 pm.
Special meetings are called when necessary. All meetings are open to the public and are subject to the provisions of Texas law.
